- End of Support: The product moves to an Inactive Support
Phase.
- Symantec Technical Support will respond to use/usability
inquiries with BEST EFFORTS. As of this date, support

15, 2009: End of Hardware Warranty Last day at which
an appliance model can receive warranty services of
any kind (e.g., Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA)
replacement/repairs).
Note: Warranty services, which are no longer available
as of the day after this date, include technical phone
support and RMAs with replacement units.
Replacement units can be the same or similar (equal
or greater value), at Symantecâ??s discretion.
Maintenance
contracts will be available until the End of Support
for Firmware date. A prorated Maintenance Fee will be
assessed for the period between your annual maintenance
renewal date and the product End of Support for Firmware
Date. After the End of Support for Firmware Date, Symantec
Corporation will use best efforts to resolve deviation
from product specifications on a time and materials
basis after the product reaches the Inactive Support
phase. After
the End of Support for Firmware Date, you may purchase
support on a time and materials basis at Symantec Corporationâ??s
then current consulting daily rate. In all cases, telephone
support will be limited to currently supported versions
of the operating systems and other applications until
the End of Support for Firmware Date. Symantec Corporation
will not provide product patches to resolve desktop
application conflicts with any third party applications.
